We welcomed guests with a glass of bubbly before setting sail from the Archbishop’s Palace for a leisurely evening cruise along the River Medway. The relaxed atmosphere gave everyone the chance to have real conversations, meet new people, and enjoy the scenery as the boat glided downstream. Many of us connected with people we’d never met before, making it a truly valuable event.

The highlight of the evening was a private tour of Allington Castle, one of Maidstone’s hidden treasures. Stepping inside felt like discovering another world — from its stunning gardens and courtyards to the historic Great Hall. The castle, once home to poet Sir Thomas Wyatt, is rarely open to the public, making this experience even more memorable.
