A Warm Welcome in a Beautifully Decorated Country Hotel
Our December networking event brought around fifty guests to the magnificent Chilston Park Hotel — a venue that feels like the very definition of festive elegance. Christmas trees glowed in every corner, garlands framed the staircases, and the reception hall made a stunning first impression as guests arrived.
Check-in took place just beyond the main hotel reception, where our team greeted attendees, ticked them off the guestlist and provided name badges. From there, guests made their way into the beautifully decorated room for relaxed morning networking, where tea, coffee, pastries, canapés, bucks fizz and Chapel Down sparkling wine were served throughout.
Talks, Toasts and a Festive Start to the Morning
After guests settled in, Nick McGowan delivered a short talk — a warm end-of-year message reflecting on the past months and looking forward to 2026. The mood in the room was cheerful and upbeat, with guests chatting, laughing and enjoying plenty of winter-morning hospitality.
A Choice of Two Experiences
Following the talks, guests were invited to choose between a guided tour of the hotel and grounds or a festive wreath-making workshop.
The Hotel Tour, led by the wonderful Tara Capon, offered an inside look at Chilston Park’s character and heritage. Guests explored some of the hotel’s unique themed suites, the restaurant, wedding spaces and the picturesque grounds — even visiting the on-site beehives, home to nearly a million bees. A highlight for many was the chance to taste Chilston Park’s own honey, offered simply on a spoon to showcase its purity and flavour.
The Wreath-Making Workshop, guided by a professional florist, proved equally popular. Guests enjoyed a creative, hands-on festive activity, producing some truly beautiful wreaths — all while continuing their conversations in a relaxed, social setting.
Festive Networking to Close a Wonderful Event
Once both groups returned, guests continued to network, explore the hotel and enjoy refreshments. The elegant, cosy surroundings and festive décor created a warm atmosphere that made this event a memorable end to the year — full of conversation, creativity and Christmas spirit.
A Final Thank You
Our sincere thanks go to Tara Capon and the entire Chilston Park Hotel team for hosting us so warmly, and to Chapel Down for providing the sparkling wine that added an extra touch of celebration. And of course, thank you to all our guests for joining us and making our final event of the year such a joyful occasion.
