On a beautifully sunny morning on 16th April, around 30 guests gathered at the stunning Frasers of Egerton for a relaxed and enriching networking experience set in the heart of the Kent countryside. With its beautifully decorated interiors and picturesque gardens, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for a morning focused on connection, wellbeing, and great conversation.
Guests arrived from 10:30am and were welcomed into the charming Stag’s Barn, where the morning began with open networking. With a diverse mix of industries represented, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, allowing attendees to connect easily while enjoying a selection of refreshments.
Seasonal Food and Refreshments
A particular highlight of the morning was the opportunity to sample a range of delicious, seasonal dishes made using ingredients grown and foraged on site at Frasers. Guests enjoyed a baked yoghurt with fresh rhubarb, overnight oats with cocoa, and a flavourful wild garlic and nettle soup—each dish showcasing the venue’s commitment to sustainability and locally sourced produce.
Alongside the food, attendees were treated to tea, coffee, apple juice, and sparkling wine kindly provided by Balfour Winery, adding an extra touch to the relaxed and sociable atmosphere.
Talks & Wellness Activities
The event then transitioned into a series of engaging talks from a range of speakers. Nick McGowan of What’s On In Kent shared insights, followed by Claire Bates of Tilia Yoga & Nature, Lisa Fraser of Frasers, and Sarah Stanbrook of Gongs On The Run, each offering their own perspective on wellbeing, business, and connection.
These talks added depth to the morning, creating a space not only for networking but also for learning and inspiration.
Following the talks, guests were invited to take part in a selection of wellness activities. These included sound bathing, grounding, and a guided foraging walk led by Claire Bates, where attendees discovered more about the benefits and uses of plants such as hawthorn.
The foraging experience proved especially popular, offering a hands-on way to connect with nature while learning something new in a relaxed and informal setting.
A Perfect Setting
Frasers of Egerton’s Stag’s Barn and surrounding grounds provided an ideal environment for the event, combining rustic charm with thoughtful hospitality. The peaceful countryside setting encouraged meaningful conversations and allowed guests to unwind while building valuable new connections.
