Networking, Heritage and a Taste of Kent on the River Medway
On Tuesday 2nd September 2025, we welcomed our guests to the historic Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone for an evening of relaxed yet focused networking on board the Kentish Lady River Boat. This event was all about making meaningful business connections in a unique and engaging setting — and it certainly delivered.
Setting Sail from Maidstone
At 6pm, we boarded the Kentish Lady from the Archbishop’s Palace landing stage and began our journey along the River Medway. The early evening sunshine provided a perfect backdrop as guests introduced themselves, exchanged stories, and built new connections over a glass of Gusbourne English wine.
The relaxed pace of the river cruise encouraged natural conversation — plenty of laughter, plenty of ideas, and plenty of introductions that we know will turn into valuable partnerships.
Exclusive Access to Allington Castle
A real highlight of the evening was a stop at Allington Castle, one of Kent’s hidden gems. Normally closed to the public, the castle opened its gates exclusively for our group. Guests enjoyed a guided tour of the grounds and interior, hearing about its fascinating history while continuing to network in a truly unique environment.
The timing couldn’t have been better — as we explored, the sun began to set over the castle, providing a memorable setting for thoughtful conversation and new business introductions.
Networking on the Return Journey
Back on board, guests were treated to a buffet, along with another glass of Gusbourne wine. The atmosphere was upbeat and professional, with plenty of lively discussion, idea-sharing, and genuine connection as we made our way back to Maidstone.
It was the perfect balance of business and enjoyment — an evening where new relationships were formed and existing ones strengthened.
